Lace House has been renovated to a very high standard with sleek, clean, modern lines, bespoke furniture, high-end imported fixtures and fittings, and high-speed internet throughout. The heart of the villa is an L-shaped open-plan kitchen/living area. This space is dual aspect; the kitchen area has large, glazed doors out on to the dining verandah and to the pool beyond whilst the sitting room opens onto the oceanfront part of the garden with views across the surf-break to a small island – magical!

The three bedrooms are all accessed from this central space. The master bedroom has ocean views whilst the other two are set towards the rear of the property.

Outside is a huge veranda with a large dining table and a range of comfortable outdoor chairs and loungers – perfect for keeping an eye on the kids in the adjacent pool whilst relaxing with a book and a glass of wine.

Oceanfront access is via a gate direct from the garden Note that this stretch is not a beach however there is access for surfers over some large boulders.

Lace House is primarily a full-service villa – your rental includes staff to housekeep and, if you wish, to shop for you and prepare your meals. Dining at the villa is charged simply and transparently at grocery cost + 20%. Chef will prepare your meals in the main kitchen of the villa – great opportunity for you to watch and learn how to cook delicious Sri Lankan curries! If you prefer, you are welcome to explore the delights of the local fresh food markets and self-cater – the kitchen is fully equipped.

For meals where you would like to eat out there are a number of options right on the doorstep The boutique hotel next door has a lovely food menu and offers daily drop-in yoga sessions which you are welcome to join for a modest donation. Lighthouse Ahangama is two doors up the coast and Abode Ahangama is a few minutes’ walk in the other direction.
